Project title: Algebraic analysis of Stream ciphers
Project description: Stream ciphers are one of the basic building blocks in private-key cryptography, therefore understanding and analysis of them is a crucial activity. Many proposed designs of stream ciphers have been found to be vulnerable as new cryptanalytic techniques are developed. The result of such findings is that new designs avoid having characteristics that can be exploited by the aforementioned techniques, leading to obtaining safer stream ciphers constructions. In this project, we want to continue analysing certain stream ciphers using algebraic techniques in order to find feasible attacks on them.
